Good morning,
Years ago, when I lived in Baltimore, I was lucky enough to teach an anger management class in a county jail.
Twice a week I taught inmates how to tap for their anger (as well many other issues).
The best part of the class was that the men I was working with had chosen to be in the class. They wanted to better themselves and heal their past traumas.
At the same time, there were a number of men who didn't have the opportunity to take the class because they were participating in other programs. They were working on their high school diplomas, working the steps to end their cycle of addiction, or were working jobs in the facility during the class times.
In order to serve those who couldn't make it to the class we created a book (very cleverly titled Comprehensive Anger Management), based on the class, so that they could walk through the step-by-step process on their own.
In the nine years since the original publication, the book has been used by over 3000 inmates in 4 countries AND every single person who has received a copy of the book has done so free of charge.
In the last eight weeks alone we have been able to provide over 450 copies of the books to inmates and to programs supporting the incarcerated after their release.
The way that we are able to provide these free books is because 100% of the sales from the book go directly to providing books to the incarcerated.
It's not really an anger book
One of my favorite moments from teaching the class happened when I had the guys working through one of the exercises. They all had their heads down as they were answering questions about their past, which then led to what we tapped on together.
One of the students stopped and looked up at me. He said, "Mr. Gene, this isn't an anger class. This is an emotion class." He paused for a moment and then continued "And I'm okay with that." He looked back at his paper and continued his work.
He wasn't wrong!
The class was called an anger management class because that best described the symptom they were trying to transform. In reality, the class was about teaching them emotional intelligence and how to heal and transform their past.
As a tapper, you already knew that. That is why we love tapping so much! We start with a symptom and find our way to deeper healing.
So even though the book is called Comprehensive Anger Management, it is about so much more. It is a collection of some of my favorite step-by-step approaches to using tapping to create healing and transformation.
A win-win situation
I am sending this email as a reminder that the book is still available on the website, and the beautiful part is that it's a win-win if you decide to buy it.
Win #1 is you will gain access to a collection of great tapping tools that you can use right away.
Win #2,
as I mentioned above, 100% of the proceeds go to getting copies of the book into the hands of those who most need it.
You can purchase either a pdf version or physical copy of the book. The physical
copies cost $19.99, while the pdf version of the book is available for whatever price you can afford to pay. The suggested price for the pdf is $10, but you can pay whatever you like (you can even download it free of charge if you like).
You can find the book here: https://tappingqanda.com/anger
