Yup, it's just an eraser
(or a rubber to my British English speaking friends).
It's a little scuffed and shabby, but not worn away from use.
That is because I don't use the eraser as it was intended.
Instead, I keep it with me as a reminder. Here's the story behind it…
More than ten years ago I watched a video training
program called Zero Limits hosted by Joe Vitale, with Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len leading the teaching.
One of the key lessons I took away from Dr. Hew Len was that our most important work is not about
changing our beliefs or changing the way we behave. Nor is it about understanding our past trauma.
Instead, our most important work is to identify and release the
stories that no longer serve us.
The more I thought about this idea, the more it resonated with me.
I realized that when I overcame my social anxiety it was because I let go of the story that people were just tolerating me.
When I started sharing my writing and podcasting about tapping with much more effort and enthusiasm, it was because I had let go of the story that when people rejected my work, they were rejecting me.
And yesterday, when I released my sense of overwhelm in the middle of an extremely busy day, it was because I let go of the story that I don't have enough time to do everything and if I can't do everything, there is no reason even to start.
For me, the idea of me being enough as I am and letting go of everything that is preventing me from seeing what I truly am was revolutionary because it reframed my approach to tapping.
Not only for myself, but when I work with clients as well.
If you have ever worked with me one-on-one, then at some point in our tapping we have tapped on the idea of releasing old stories.
After learning this idea
from Dr. Hew Len, I wanted to integrate it into my daily life. That is when I got the idea of carrying an eraser around in my pocket.
Every time I put my hand in my pocket and feel the eraser there, it
reminds me that my only work is to let go of the stories that are no longer useful.
This constant reminder has helped me to:
- Simplify my transformational work
- Remember that I am
enough and my work is about releasing anything that says otherwise
- Remember that I was closer to the healing that I wanted than I thought
I carried that eraser around for a full year, and that year was a magical year of healing for me.
The picture above is of my latest eraser, which I have been carrying around since early October. When I am working at my desk (as I am right now), I have it sitting just above my keyboard as a constant reminder that my only work is to let go of the stories that no longer serve me.
Catching sight of it reminds me to breathe more deeply, and I notice that my shoulders drop and relax a little. The eraser also helps me to remember it is possible to make the day even better.
A special eraser
The eagle-eyed reader will notice the words "First Action, Best Action" are printed directly on the eraser.
"First Action, Best Action" describes how I have framed my transformational journey for more than a year now. The idea is to regularly ask myself this question: "What is the first action that I can take in order to ensure I am taking the
best, most successful, most useful actions?"
My starting point is often to take a few minutes to tap before I take any other action. If I remember to do that, what follows will be easier, better, or
both.
I would love you to have one of these erasers.
I want you to be reminded daily that you are much closer than you think to the breakthrough you want.
I want you to know you are worthy of better and more.
I want you to know that you are not alone in your desire for a better life, as I am
right here with you on the journey.
To do all of this I have created a new program that is called the First Action, Best Action Membership. Every part of the
program is designed to help you not just be a better tapper, but to set you up to create true change in your life.
Change is not about how much tapping you do, but instead how each round of tapping can
lead to you creating an authentic life you love.
The program includes instruction on how to get the most out of your tapping, reminders so that you tap more often, and personal guidance to help you past
those tricky sticking points.
When you sign up for the program, you will receive a welcome kit in the shape of a box full of goodies. The box includes a number of tools (all of which I use myself) to
help you to stay on track, tap more, and get more out of your tapping.
One of the goodies in the welcome kit is your very own First Action, Best Action
eraser.
The best part is you can sign up for the program for a month absolutely free, all you have to do is cover the shipping and handling for your welcome kit.
In addition to the January training (which will be a full day training on Zoom on January 7th) and the opportunity to have any question about tapping answered in my Office Hours sessions, you will also get access to five of my favorite
tapping trainings right away.
Get even more when you sign up
There is a second membership option available. If you sign up for a full year, you will get two
free months of membership (a $100 value), I will cover the shipping and handling on your welcome kit, AND you will be invited to attend a bonus Zoom event, the Mindset Expansion Day (a $297 value). This represents more than $400 in savings when you sign up for the full year.
You can join the fun (and get your first month absolutely free) right here: https://home.tappingqanda.com/faba-sign-up
This offer closes on January 1st at midnight and enrollment will not reopen until April at the very earliest, so don't delay!
I have been working on this program for months and I can't wait for you to join me on the path to creating a life you truly love.
Do it right now: https://home.tappingqanda.com/faba-sign-up
Please reply to this message with any questions and I'll get right back to you.
