Good morning,
In the last 10 years I have spent countless hours studying non-verbal communication. What I have learned helps me to be a much better practitioner because I am able to understand my clients on a deeper
level.
My favorite piece of non-verbal communication is one that everyone knows and understands.
That action?
The eye roll!
If you have spent any time with teenagers, then you are very familiar with this particular action.
When a teenager rolls their eyes at an adult, it is usually interpreted as disrespectful. BUT that is not really what is going on.
Instead, when someone rolls their eyes all they are doing is breaking rapport. They are saying "I am not in sync with what you just said or asked me to do." Or, to put it more simply, "We are NOT on the same page!"
Sometimes my clients roll their eyes at me. It mostly happens when I am asking them to say a tapping phrase they are not in sync with emotionally.
In this week's podcast we are continuing the My Favorite Tapping Phrases Series with the one that produces more eye rolls than every other phrase I use combined.
I think that's important because it demonstrates how a phrase about healing can lead the subconscious mind to fight back. This is exactly when we want to lean in for even deeper transformation.
In the podcast I share what the phrase is, why it brings up so much resistance from my clients, and how to use it in a way that is useful (even when your subconscious isn't on board).

I also recorded a video version of the podcast this week (and not the audio only kind, but an actual video), which you can watch here: https://youtu.be/uBXi4GYtNOM
I'd love to hear how you (and your inner teenager) respond to this phrase,
Gene
PS: This year's 24 Hours of Tapping will be here before we know it. Mark your
calendar for Friday, July 14th and Saturday, July 15th. While we are counting down to this year's event, today would be a great chance to revisit one of the excellent interviews from last year. The recommendation this week is my conversation with the big-hearted Melissa Beasley about how tapping is a powerful tool for those caught in domestic violence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAuOGni_JT0
