Good morning,
As a tapping practitioner and teacher, I describe myself as a practicalist.
That means I approach transformation from a practical point of view, and I evaluate my work by the tangible, useful changes in the lives of my clients and in my own life.
It is not just about what we are healing and clearing, but the actions we take afterwards in response to the space created by transformation.
One of the easiest ways to evaluate this is by looking at the choices we make and actions we take after we tap.
The idea can
also be used to determine where we should be focusing our tapping. When we name an area of our lives we want to change, it gives us clarity and focus about where we should begin.
A great place to start
is with that super valuable task that you never quite seem to get around to.
You put it on your to-do list because you know it is important, but somehow you don't get around to doing it. So, you move it
to the next day's to-do list with hope and anticipation of getting it done, but then it gets moved to the next day and the next…
At a certain point you leave it off your to-do list altogether because it
feels a little embarrassing.
There is a good reason you aren't doing this task: You are afraid!
I don't say that in a judgmental way, but instead to say your subconscious mind thinks it is safer to not take the action than to take the action.
In this week's podcast we are continuing our Healing Fundamentals series by exploring this type of resistance to taking action AND how to overcome it.
