Good morning,
One thing humans are very good at is naming what they do NOT like.
So much so that I use this to my advantage whenever I teach the basics of tapping to newbies. When I am showing people how powerful tapping is for emotional issues, I have them tune in to the household chore they hate the most.
I have never had someone struggle with that request. Right away, people know what they don't like.
When it comes to tasks we don't like, there are two types: tasks that are painful in the practical sense, and tasks that are emotionally painful.
Practically painful includes physical exertion, like strenuous yard work on a summer's afternoon, or painful in terms of time and interest, like having to spend six hours on a mindless task.
Emotionally painful tasks are the ones that push up against some part of ourselves that we don't like. For example, you might not like feeling incompetent, so having to learn something new could be painful because it shines a light on the fact you are no good at something.
That is an obvious example, but sometimes we are unaware of the information hidden behind the tasks we don't like doing.
In this week's podcast I share three simple lenses you can use to look at the task you don't like doing and decipher the resistance holding you back from taking the actions you know you want to take.
Think of these three lenses as kind of like a decoder ring to your disgust where it takes the feeling of disgust and turns it into information that will lead to deeper transformation.
You can uncover so many tappable issues with these lenses and once you clear them, taking action will be so much easier.

Let me know how this tool works for you,

PS: This year's 24 Hours of Tapping will be here before we know it. Mark your calendar for Friday, July 14th and Saturday, July 15th. While we are counting down to this year's event, why not revisit one of the excellent interviews from last year? Here is a thoughtful conversation with Craig
Weiner on how we can do Trauma Informed Tapping : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1DzuAmBAkY
