Good morning,
By far the most common question I receive about tapping is: "How do I know what to say when I am tapping?"
The question makes soooooo much sense. When you are working with a practitioner, an instructor, or tapping along to a video, it feels almost intuitive at how perfectly the tapping phrases resonate with exactly what you are feeling.
But when you are tapping on your own, it feels like there is a giant fog of
blankness in your head because you can't think of anything so perfect or fitting.
There is a dirty little secret about tapping scripts and tapping instructors...they are not as perfect as they may seem! That is because you only remember the tapping phrases that resonate with you and the rest of the phrases are quickly forgotten.
The way you can find the right phrases is to start tapping and just say whatever comes to mind. The phrases that resonate will be useful and those that are not will be forgotten.
All the same, trying out tapping phrases can still feel awkward and unnatural until you find the
ones that work.
To make it even easier for you, in this week's podcast I teach a tool I use daily that helps me to find the tapping phrases that work best.
The best news about this tool is that it is something you already do, you just don't
use it in the context of tapping (or in the context of helping yourself).
Once you see how easily it fits into your tapping, you too can use it right away to great effect.
