Good morning,
One of the most common reasons for not taking action that my clients and students report is: "I can't take action until I have things exactly right!"
Sometimes they are consciously aware of the resistance, but more often it is lurking in their subconscious minds, and they only realize it after a great deal of reflection.
The desire to have circumstances "exactly right" before acting makes a lot of sense. If we have
everything just so, then we can feel more secure in knowing nothing can go wrong.
You may believe that nothing can go wrong if you have precisely:
- the right plan
- the right training
- the right resources
- the right mindset
- etc.
On the surface, this is logical and makes sense…except for the fact that perfection is rare and many external factors and circumstances are beyond our control.
If we wait for everything to be perfect before we take action, we will never get around to taking
action.
Some years ago, I came across a simple reframe that released me from getting caught up in the endless loop of planning and prepping without taking action.
In this week's podcast I share this
reframe, condense the reframe down to a single word, and I show you exactly how I tap to make this new way of thinking into my everyday way of thinking.
By incorporating this one idea into your tapping for the next ten days, you will be able to take consistent, more effective action. As always, the goal isn't just more action, but action that leads to an authentic life
that you love!
The concept is so simple you can use it today, and I include a tap-along that you can revisit whenever you need to.
