Good morning,
I am super excited by the number of people who have signed up for the RKAT training on July 7th!
This is a tool that I love, and I am confident it will help you to achieve deeper and longer lasting results in your tapping practice.
I have also received various questions from people interested in the event, and you may have your own questions too. Below are answers to the most common questions I have received
so far. If you have a question I have not covered, please do not hesitate to reply to this email and I will help you out.
Is this a joke?
No, it is not a joke. The name RKAT (Really Kick-Ass
Technique) started as a joke, but the tool is anything but a joke. It is one of the most powerful approaches I have to creating lasting transformation.
You can read the full story of how it ended up with the (admittedly silly) name RKAT here: https://tappingqanda.com/rkat
Do I have to call the technique the RKAT?
Not at all! When you use the approach (or any part of the approach) you can call it anything you want. I don't care what you call it. I only care
about you having deep, lasting transformation.
I have so many things that I want to tap for. Do I have to bring a specific issue to the training on the 7th?
No. The training is designed
to teach you the process and show you how best to adapt it to your own practice. There are three basic ways we can use the RKAT and I will demonstrate all three during the training. I will also work live with students one-on-one so you can see application of the tool.
Having a few issues in mind before the training would be great, but it is by
no means a requirement. Over the course of the training it will be easy for you to identify issues on which to try out the approach.
Do I have to volunteer and do tapping on camera?
Not
at all! You don't even have to turn your camera on during the training. I want you to feel safe and comfortable the entire time. You are also welcome to ask any questions you have via the chat box.
I'm a practitioner, can I use this with my clients?
Yes, absolutely. Everything I teach is something that you can use in your own client work.
Do I have to do the RKAT exactly the way you teach it?
No! The main reason the training starts with the seven fundamentals is because I want you to understand why each part of the tool is designed the way it is. When you understand the steps of the program and what is behind them, it will open you up to using it in the way that makes the most sense.
Not only can
you adapt the tool to your approach, but I am also excited to hear about what adaptations you come up with!
What can I use the RKAT for?
There are three basic applications of the RKAT.
It can be used to release emotions in the moment, to heal a past memory or trauma, and to remove any resistance to taking a useful action. This covers most of the reasons we tap, both in my personal tapping practice and in my work with clients.
How long is the training?
The training will run from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM Eastern US time, with two breaks for refreshments. Here is the tentative schedule:
Session 1 10:30 AM - 11:45 AM
Break 11:45 AM - 12:00 PM
Session 2
12:00 PM - 1:15 PM
Break 1:15 PM - 1:45 PM
Session 3 1:45 PM - 3:00 PM
What if I have questions after the training?
As part of
the program, there are two Q&A sessions happening on July 14th and July 28th at 12 noon Eastern US time. This will give you a chance to try out the technique on your own and then bring any questions you have to the Q&A sessions.
What if I can't make the training live?
The training and Q&A sessions will be recorded so if you can't join us live, you will still have access to everything you need.
