Good afternoon,
When was the last time you settled for 'fine' instead of reaching for more? Let me tell you a story about when I was told I was 'fine'...
I have a number of learning disabilities that impact my ability to read and write.
So much so that when I first created TappingQandA.com (and before I had an amazing editor), I received an email from one of my readers which began "I know English isn't your first language..." because
my grammar was such a disaster.
BUT because of my other abilities (strong analytical skills and an excellent memory) my learning disabilities were not identified until later in life. I didn't present as a dyslexic student, but instead looked like an extremely smart kid who was lazy, unfocused, and bored.
In my penultimate year of high school, my English Literature teacher took me to the guidance counselor, Mr. S, at our high school and told him, "I think Gene is dyslexic."
The guidance counselor looked up from what he was doing and said "He made it this far, so he will be fine," and then made a
gesture as if he were dismissing us from his office.
In one way, Mr. S was right. I survived.
But 'fine' is not the same as thriving. Just because I was getting by doesn’t mean I was achieving my full potential. I'm guessing you don't want to
settle for "fine" either.
Once I got to university, I finally received a formal diagnosis for my learning disability. Only then did I truly understand how my brain works. With this knowledge I was able to lean into situations that played to my strengths and have even been able to transform some of the ways my brain functions.
"Oh, never mind. I'm fine really. Others have it so much worse!"
The story of Mr. S dismissing me from his office came to mind recently in a conversation with one of my clients.
We were talking about an emotional burden she was carrying
because of an unexpected transition at work that had complicated her working life.
While explaining the situation she stopped herself mid-sentence and said, "Oh, never mind. I'm fine really. Others have it so much worse!"
I affirm and
appreciate the fact that others do in fact have it worse, but that does not mean she isn't also entitled to feel better.
Stop being OK with 'fine'
I know there are areas in your life where you’ve been settling for 'fine' because you’ve been told it’s enough. But let me tell you, you deserve more than 'fine'.
You deserve to thrive!
This is an opportunity to do exactly that.
You might want to:
- be physically
healthier
- love yourself more
- trust yourself more
- grow your business
- find deep, lasting relationships
- just be happier
And at the same time, there is something that is holding you back (or a number of somethings).
Like my client, you might put yourself last because
others have it so much worse.
You might not know where to start...
You might feel like it's too late...
You might
feel like the work is too hard...
You might be unsure about what first step you could take...
You might be afraid that you will make progress, only to backslide...
You might be worried that others will judge you for trying…for wanting more…for believing more is possible…for leaving them behind…
OR you might just feel so overwhelmed with so many issues that you haven't a clue where to start.
You are not alone!
That list above is a very human list of worries. Or it might not be a list of very human worries, but it is certainly my list of worries when it comes to transformation and healing.
That’s exactly why I created the ID Transformation
Retreat.
The ID Transformation Retreat will help you finally break through the barriers that have kept you feeling stuck for years. Imagine stepping into a future where self-doubt, limiting beliefs, and fear of judgment no longer hold you back.
We will spend the day clearing the limiting beliefs you can name, finding the limiting beliefs that are hidden in your subconscious mind and, most importantly, clear the way to creating deep, lasting transformation.
Here are all the event details:
- The retreat is happening on Saturday, October 5th starting live on Zoom at 10 AM Eastern US time
until 4 PM
- You will receive full recordings of the day so you can tap along again at your own pace
- You will also get access to a library of tapping tools to transform your identity
- There will be a bonus Q&A session on Saturday, October 19th at noon Eastern US so you can ask any follow-up questions that come up, and we will do even more tapping together.
The beautiful part of the tools I'll be sharing
with you is that you can use them long after the retreat is over. They are resources you can return to anytime you need to clear out limiting beliefs and tap into your potential. All you need to do is follow them step by step.
Don't miss this opportunity to move on from being just "fine"!
It is your chance to heal, transform, and thrive.
AND because I want this to be a personalized experience, I am limiting the number of participants at the ID Transformation Retreat to just forty.
Don’t wait another day to step into the life you’ve been imagining. I’d love to help you to remove the beliefs and stories that are preventing you from living an authentic life you will love.
The retreat only costs $197.
The last time I offered the ID Transformation Retreat it cost $247 and there was no Bonus Q&A session. That means you are paying less and receiving more!

I haven't run this event in over two and half years and I'm not sure when I will run it again. Don't miss it.
If you have any questions about the day, just reply to this message and I will get right back to you.
I look forward to seeing you on the 5th.
