My favorite part of the Tapping Mastery Academy is the office hours sessions with the students.
Office hours are Zoom calls where students are invited to ask me anything they want. The requests fall into three main areas. They either ask about what we covered in class, other tapping-related questions, or they ask for some specific tapping.
On a recent call, one of my students asked for help with tapping to
address a piece of resistance that she felt was really holding her back.
Before we started tapping on the issue, she provided some background.
As she was speaking, I interrupted her to point something out. I asked if she had noticed what she
had just said, then I repeated it back to her and why it was important.
When I finished, she blurted out, "Thank you for saying that!" and I could see that she was close to tears.
I had pointed out a success that she had missed. The moment
she recognized her success, she not only felt better, she also saw that she was on the right path and much closer to her goal than she initially thought.
When we face resistance, we go through three stages, but we often overlook the second stage, which can slow our progress.
