When I work with clients, I pay close attention to the language they use and particularly to keywords that alert me to how their subconscious mind might be informing their
narrative.
The word "should" always grabs my attention.
It isn't just a statement of direction or intent as in "I should do this."
The word "should" often comes with emotional baggage. It does not just express what needs to happen, but it carries a lot of unspoken information and expectation that can weigh us down and keep us stuck.
