Good morning,
Over the last few years, I have learned that I am sometimes not as clear as I would like to be when I share details about my new programs and training events.
The Tapping for Pets: A Practical Guide to Supporting Your Animal’s Well-Being is no exception. I have received some great questions and if one person has the questions, then others probably do as well.
Below are answers to the questions I
have received so far. If you don't see your question on this list, please reply to this email and I will help you out.
Does tapping really work for animals?
In my experience, tapping for
the animals we love can improve the quality of their lives, their emotional well-being, and deepen their relationship with the people they love. Tapping is not a replacement for other forms of care but can serve as a perfect complement to the ways in which you are already caring for your animals.
I am new to tapping and I have never
tapped for my pet before. Will this training be too advanced for me?
Definitely not! The training is designed to be helpful to newbies and experienced tappers alike. If you are new to tapping, the program will hold your hand so all you have to do is follow the steps to be effective.
I am an experienced tapper. Will the program be too basic for me?
No! Even if you have years of tapping experience, you will be introduced to new frameworks for how to use tapping to benefit your animals. Because of your experience and
expertise, you will then be able to add to them effortlessly to your tapping practice using your own tapping style and approach.
When programs like this are offered, they usually focus on dogs and cats. I have chickens. Will I get anything out of this program?
Yes! Every type of animal has its own characteristics, and each individual animal has its own personality. The tapping tools you will learn relate to your emotional response, your relationship, and how you understand your animal's needs, regardless of the type of animal you have.
I have horses and I don't think of them as pets. Will this program work for me?
Yes! I use the word pets a lot when talking about the program, but the program and training is really for anyone who is in a relationship with an animal they love.
I have plans on Saturday the 19th. Will the training be recorded?
Yes! The training will be recorded and uploaded to the course website by Sunday morning. That means you can watch it when it works for you AND come back to
rewatch it as many times as is useful.
My pets do not typically have issues. Would this still be useful?
We can respond in one of three ways to the needs of our animals. We can work with
an issue from the past, for something that is happening right now, and preemptively to make things better in future. So even if you are in a stage of life with your pet where everything is going well, it doesn't mean there won't be problems in future, or that you can't make things even better.
In my own life, I tap consistently even when
everything is going great so that I keep going in that direction and minimize any future issues. Tapping for your pets is no different. It is a great way to stabilize the good and set up an even better future.
I am a practitioner. Can I use these approaches with my clients, and can I teach what I have learned to my
clients?
All the tools and ideas I share in my training are ones that I would like to be used by as many people as possible. If it is helpful for you to share them with others, you are more than welcome to do so. I only ask that you don't pass the work off as your own and that you give credit when sharing with others.
I hope you can join us on October 19th.
