Good morning,
I find clichés interesting.
On one level, they can
convey great wisdom yet on another, they can feel trite and patronizing.
A cliché that rubs me up the wrong way is: "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!"
Without question, there is a LOT of truth in that phrase!
The problem isn't the statement, but instead when people tend to say it.
This is almost exclusively said after the fact, when it is too late, and everything has gone wrong, so it feels scolding rather than instructive.
The implication is, "If only you had done something about this issue sooner, then it wouldn't be that big of a deal".
In a perfect world, we would do all the things ahead of time to make sure our plans, our actions, our progress, and our health
were consistently as great and fabulous as they could be.
Problem is, we do NOT live in a perfect world.
There are loads of instances when we are not thinking about prevention, but instead we are
responding to situations that have gone sideways.
This is especially true when we find ourselves emotionally drained or exhausted.
Clearly, it is never our plan to wind up overwhelmed and depleted, but sometimes we are simply dealing with
situations in the best way we can and that is where we land.
This week in the podcast, I am going to share with you what to do when you feel emotionally drained or exhausted.
Bouncing back from
exhaustion is different from simply recovering from feeling tired. In this episode I share the seven simple ideas that will help you return to full strength.
The best part is that you don't have to do all of them. They are all helpful, and you will find two or three that are perfect for you.

It is easy to beat ourselves up for allowing ourselves to be stretched to breaking point. This is a great approach to
bringing yourself back into a balanced and well-resourced state.
I hope you love this as much as I do,
