Good morning,
I just did a quick internet search on the "history of affirmations," and the first article I clicked on started with the line, "The first recorded use of affirmations dates back to
the ancient Egyptian civilization. Affirmations were inscribed on amulets and other objects."
Whether or not that is correct, we do know for certain that affirmations have been a part of many religious and spiritual traditions for thousands of years.
Affirmations can be useful to:
- inspire us
- keep us focused
- console us
- provide us with guidance
In addition to saying (and meditating on) affirmations, we can also use them when we are tapping.
Over the years, many of my
clients and students have asked me to help them come up with "the perfect affirmation to tap to."
I appreciate this desire, but in reality there is no such thing as a perfect affirmation. An affirmation might ring true for a while and then lose its usefulness as we find ourselves in a different season of life.
This week in the podcast I talk about the best ways to use affirmations. I share how I come up with the affirmations that I tap along to (because I use them all the time) AND the three questions to ask to see if the affirmation you are tapping to is one that is most useful for you.
Once
you learn these three questions, you will be able to use them to decide if you should be tapping to a specific affirmation and also to evaluate any phrase that you tap along to.

I am willing to bet you already have at least a few favorite affirmations. This is a great chance for you get even more out of them with tapping,

PS: Did you know I did a live stream where we did a bunch of tapping for
worthiness yesterday? You can watch the replay and tap along here: https://youtube.com/live/hSq1f0Jy3vs
