Good afternoon,
In total exasperation my client "Debbie" said, "Are we really tapping on this again?!?"
Debbie's frustration wasn't with me or with our session, or even towards tapping itself. It was because we were tapping on an issue that she believed she'd already cleared.
And honestly, her frustration made total sense.
Debbie really felt like she had made huge progress with healing and transformation showing in tangible ways in her daily life. Things were really looking up…and then we found one more area of her life where Debbie realized that she didn't feel worthy of success on an emotional level.
It felt crushing. Like she was too far gone for
help, that tapping doesn't work, and she was just wasting her time and energy.
BUT here's what was really happening: we weren't really tapping on the same issue at all.
Instead, we were tapping on an issue
with many of the same characteristics as a previous issue, which meant Debbie mistook it for the same one.
Debbie's case is far from unique. If I work with a client for a longer period of time, this frustration comes up for many of them.
When we understand how healing and transformation work, we don't see this as a dead end, but as a guide to our next useful step in the healing process.
In this week's Wednesday live stream I am going to share with you:
- What's REALLY happening when it feels like you're tapping on the same thing again (spoiler: it's not what you think)
- The simple
test to tell if you're actually stuck...or just THINK you're stuck (this changes everything)
- What to do next when you feel stuck (hint: it's NOT what most people try first)
I will be going live on YouTube at 11 AM Eastern time tomorrow (Wednesday).
You can join us live here: https://youtube.com/live/Sysyhmk6yVQ
Why not go to the link right now and click "turn on notification" so you don't miss out! (And if you can't join us live, the same link will take you to the replay.)
If you've ever felt this frustration, you know it kills your motivation to tap.
Once you understand what's really happening, everything changes. You'll tap more. You'll trust the process. And you'll finally stop beating yourself up for being human.
I will see you tomorrow!
