You know how to tap. You have experienced the power first hand, but for some reason you aren't getting the results you want.

When this happens, it is easy to question if tapping "really" works…after all, it does look and feel pretty weird.

The problem is not that tapping doesn't work. Countless studies have proved how effective it can be.

The problem isn't your skill at doing the actual tapping. You can get great results just by using the basic recipe.

The biggest problem most tappers face is knowing where to start.

For a physical issue, like a headache, you tap on the symptom.

For a difficult past memory, you tap our way through it with something like the movie technique.

But what happens when there isn't an obvious place to start?

This is something that happens all the time when you are tapping to take action.

You know what to do. You know how to do it. You know why it is important to do. You even WANT to do it! But you still aren't taking action.

So, where do you start with your tapping?

There is no symptom (other than your frustration at not taking action), therefore there is no past story to clear.

Since this isn't a clear place to start, you do a few rounds of tapping, feel a little silly and like you are wasting your time, and then you stop.
