Good morning,
"What am I doing wrong?"
That is what my client "Jenny" said to me, in total exasperation, at the beginning of a client session recently.
Jenny is in the process of getting a tapping certification and just before our session she had been on a zoom call with fellow students. Jenny's frustration was with the fact she wasn't getting the results her fellow students were
having.
She continued:
I am doing everything I am taught. I am even having great results with my clients, but for some reason it's just not working for me. I just spent an hour listening to everyone else talk about all the
breakthroughs they've had this week.
Yes, I always feel better after tapping, but there is nothing big or profound happening with my tapping. What am I doing wrong?
This week we are counting down the five biggest struggles you have with getting the tapping results they want.
What Jenny was describing is reason #2: Tapping in a surface level way gives you temporary relief while your real problems stay hidden in the background.
This problem is the direct result of trying to solve another problem: trying to go too deep too fast.
Because tapping is such a powerful tool, when you first learned it you tried to get as much out of it as you could. You might have done the Personal Peace Procedure or decided to go after that
big issue that has been dogging you for years.
You quickly realized that you bit off more than you could chew and decided to be slower and gentler.
This is the perfect response to trying to go too deep, except most of us end up over correcting and start tapping on issues that are so small that it feels better in the moment, but there is no real change in life.
The reason this is such a difficult problem to navigate is because no two issues are exactly alike.
Sometimes we are dealing with something that is very straightforward. In the past we had a bad experience and in order to create healing all we need to do is tap on the past memory using the movie technique.
As an example, I once helped a client clear a crippling fear of snakes in under ten minutes tapping on just one memory.
Other times we are trying to clear a limiting belief that has been reinforced by a lifetime of small monuments where there isn't just one big memory to go after.
Because no two issues are exactly the same it can make it hard to know where to
start.
When your tapping is getting the results you want, one of the main culprits is either tapping is a way that is too surface, not creating lasting change, or too deep, bringing up more than can be handled at once.
As part of the
Precision Tapping training you will learn how to calibrate how shallow or how deep you should be tapping at any given moment. Knowing how much to be focusing on during any one round of tapping is the key to creating the lasting healing and transformation you long for each time you tap.
The beautiful part of this approach is it will quickly become second nature
to you. As you understand this approach you will be able to quickly shift gears and approaches as you work your way through an issue.
Precision Tapping training is happening this Sunday September 28th. If you would like to feel like you have a clear blueprint as to what to tap on next then this is the training for you.
There are only 100 seats in the training and I won't be running this training until late spring (at the earliest).
Feel confident and have clear direction each time you tap by joining the Precision Tapping training: https://PrecisionTapping.com
I can't wait to show you exactly how this works on the 28th,
Gene
