Good morning,
Shortly after moving to New York I met my friend Celly for drinks and dinner. As we walked from some swanky cocktail bar to some equally chichi restaurant, we walked by a Muji.
Celly said, "I just love Muji!" to which I asked, "What is Muji?"
We had time so we stepped in for a look around.
Celly
turned to me and said, "Don't you feel like you are a better human just by being here?"
For the unfamiliar, Muji is a Japanese home and lifestyle store. They supply goods like home furnishings, things to organize your office, as well as stationery and clothing, just to name a few.
Because of their Japanese heritage, their design is simple, clean, and beautiful.
I have a real weakness for all things stationery, organization, and Japanese, so when Celly said "Don't you feel like you are a better human by just being here?" I could see her point.
Give me a brand-new, beautiful notebook and a fresh set of pens and I feel like I can conquer the universe.
Sadly, beautiful new notebooks and pens are not enough to create change in our lives.
Even if your thing isn't a pristine notebook, I'm sure there is something that makes you feel ready to take on the world. It could be a clean office, a fresh cup of coffee, a good night's sleep, or freshly laundered sheets.
All of those things are great at the moment because we feel
invigorated and that everything is possible. We create plans, set ambitious goals, and are filled with excitement about the future.
Then, reality sets in.
Those tools are perfect to get us going, but not to sustain us.
I'm sure at some point in the past (or maybe many times in the past) you decided it was time to make tapping a daily habit.
You have purchased a new notebook, printed out tapping scripts from practitioners you love, loaded your phone with tap-along
audios, and bookmarked your favorite tapping YouTube channels.
The first few days go great but over time you slowly lose momentum.
Twenty-minute sessions shrink to just five or ten minutes. Instead of tapping daily, you get around to it every
few days. At a certain point, you feel like you are just going through the motions, tapping out of a sense of obligation rather than because tapping is making your life better.
The excitement of the new notebook has faded and you are back to where you started. You find yourself wishing that you had tapped on certain issues more often than you actually
tapped.
The problem isn't believing in the promise of your new notebook. Something to get us excited is a key part of creating healing and transformation, but it is only the first step.
Creating a plan is setting the table for success. It is
not success.
You also need to create the habits that support the plan AND creating habits don't happen by simply stating you would like to create them.
I want you to develop a daily tapping habit that will support you. To help you do this I
have created the Tapping Habit Accelerator. This is a step-by-step process that will teach you to tap daily by leveraging how your brain creates new habits.
In addition to teaching you how to create a habit (which you can use for any new habit, not just tapping), the program also includes thirty days of tools and resources to guide you and keep you
accountable.
At the end of thirty days tapping will be your go-to, second nature healing tool.
The best time...
I admit to rolling my eyes at clichés that are a trite substitution for real wisdom, but there is one I fully embrace when it comes to healing and transformation: The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is today.
This captures the emotional reality of wishing we had done this
sooner and at the same time, it is encouraging to know it is not too late.
No matter how many times you have attempted to make tapping a part of your daily routine, now is another opportunity to try again.
Most importantly, now is the time to
try in a way that doesn't depend solely on your will power (and a new notebook). Instead, do it with an understanding of how your brain works, how habits are created, and how to create real change.
If you are ready to make tapping a part of your everyday life, then the Tapping Habit Accelerator is for you.
The Zoom training is happening live at 12 noon Eastern time this Saturday, October 11th. You will also receive an audio and video recording if you can't join us live.
The training includes access to a collection of resources to guide and support you for the next thirty days.
The training and all the resources cost just $27.
You can join us here: https://MakeTappingAHabit.com
If you tapped every day for the next 30 days, would it be worth $27 to you?
AND after those thirty days you will have established a habit that will benefit you way
into the future.
The key to long term healing and transformation is consistency. Make tapping part of every day here: https://MakeTappingAHabit.com
I can't wait to see you on Saturday,
Gene
PS: Imagine waking up each morning and automatically reaching for tapping the way you reach for your morning coffee. No debate, no resistance, just a natural part of your day that leaves you calmer, clearer, and more centered. Join us here: https://MakeTappingAHabit.com
