When I was growing up, our household telephone sat at the end of the kitchen counter, resting on the most recent edition of the phone book. The White Pages were for residential phone numbers and the Yellow Pages were for businesses.

(As I am writing this, I feel like I am writing about an ancient civilization!)

Not only were there physical phone books at the time, but there were also television commercials for them, specifically for the Yellow Pages.

This was the logo on the phone book:

And the phone book also had the slogan:

"Let your fingers do the walking..."

The television adverts featured an animated version of the logo where the two fingers were like legs.

The whole idea was if you needed a service, like a plumber, you could let your fingers do the walking in the phone book to find what you needed.

I can't remember the last time I saw a physical telephone directory, but every November that catchy slogan is at the front of my mind.

"Let your fingers do the walking..."

That's because I host the 30-Day Tapping Challenge in November when I post a new tap-along video every day of the month.

Each video is about five minutes long and all you have to do is click play and "let your fingers do the walking" as you tap along with me.

I hear from my clients all the time that they wish they tapped more, but when they sit down to tap, they don't know what to say, so they don't do it for very long, and often end up giving up on the notion of tapping regularly on their own.
