Good morning,
Without a doubt, the most common question I receive in my inbox is "What are the tapping phrases that I should be using for [insert issue]?"
[Sidenote: My personal all-time favorite version of this question was, "What are the tapping phrases I should be using to help me to grow a second set of adult teeth?" I kid you not.]
I fully appreciate why this is such a common question. We know that the more precise our
tapping phrases, the more likely we are to find success with our tapping—so much so that I have a 13-part podcast series just on my favorite phases.
That said, we also know the words themselves are not magic. There is no one perfect set of tapping phrases for any given issue. The goal of the phrase is to be as specific as we can in the moment, knowing with each
successive round of tapping we will naturally get more specific as we feel better.
BUT the phrases we use aren't the only key to success. Our resource state also impacts every round of tapping.
By "resource state" I mean everything that is
going in your body when you are tapping. This includes how you feel, how much energy you have, how rested you are, and if you are well or sick, to name just a few.
Not taking your resource state into account could mean you are setting yourself up for failure.
On some level, you already know this. If you are unwell, you will not expect yourself to get as much done as when you are healthy.
For some reason, we don't take this into account when we are tapping.
When we tap, we simply assume we can achieve the exact same thing with each round of tapping, no matter the context.
This week in the podcast I explore how your resource state impacts the success of your tapping.
You will learn:
- How to understand your current resource state
- What you can expect from tapping based on how you feel
- And, most importantly, how to transform your resource state for the better so that you can get more out of tapping
Knowing exactly how you feel at any given moment makes tapping easier and more likely to succeed. Missing this aspect will make your tapping less successful…which leads
to tapping less.
You may not think that you need this, but it's a new concept for many of my clients and students, and one that's worth understanding.

I'm confident that if you take a few minutes to integrate this idea, you will be a more successful tapper!
So give this a listen, I know you will love it.
