Here is a perfect example (and one I deal with often). A client comes to me and would like to stop mindlessly eating chocolate every night while watching TV.

It is great that we can teach a client how to use the basic recipe to kill a craving for chocolate so they can make a good eating choices every night. With the basic recipe they are now equip to be able to deal with the craving every time it comes up.

But there are a few problems with this solution. First, they are going to have to do something every time the craving comes up and second, they are going to have to remember to use the basic recipe and have the will power to use it (which is the hardest part!).

Wouldn't it just be easier to eliminate the craving forever so they didn't have to tap every time the craving comes up?

With a guided imagery technique we can get our clients to tune into the craving and have that craving lead us directly to the emotional void that the food is being used to fill. Once we do healing work at this root the craving vanishes.
