Dear ,
I received a very interesting comment on the blog
this week and I thought it would be helpful for everyone to read my
response. I personally am very
open to critique of my work. There
have been a number of very critical e-mails that I received over the years that
have improved the way I work and improved the quality of the site.
I value the fact that you take your time to read and
listen to the things I created.
Therefore, I think it is very important that we are on the same page
about the resource and service I provide. I don't want to mis-represent myself. Here is the comment in its entirety
[sic'ed]:
Gene,
I'm sorry, but I find that these so-called
"bonuses" as well as other podcasts, are just too short and gives me
the impression of being teased in order to get me to buy your products.
I feel that as a practioner of EFT and someone that
states you really want to help people, you would offer more in order to really
help, but, instead you just really want to help yourself financially by taking
advantage ( like so many other EFT "experts" are doing.
I know you probably won't post any negative remarks,
like mine, so I'm copying them just in case I get to the point where I want to
expose people that fraudulantly project they're help to others through their
EFT "expertise".
I hope I'm wrong about this ( and you ) but this is
what I'm perceiving about your site, podcasts, and free sessions, at the
moment.
Maybe you can do a tapping session on that.
John
Here is my response as it appears in the comment
sections of the web site.
John,
Thanks for taking the time to stop by the site and
comment on the services I provide.
Here is how I would respond to your criticism.
1) The amount of "useful" free content on
the site.
Personally, I think there is a great deal of very
useful free information on the site. Currently there are over 150 free articles and
podcasts. By no means do I believe
that I have total insight when it comes to every topic. I spend time every week improving my
craft and knowledge so I can share more with my reader and my clients.
Even with that being said I believe there is a great
deal of very useful information that can be used right away from the most
beginner tapper to those who have been doing this for years. I would invite you to check out
the "Top 9 Articles/Topics" I believe this the best of the best
from the site.
2) If you truly wanted to help people you would give
away more stuff and not just be a tease
I make no bones about the fact that I am selling products
and services. This is stated very
clearly on the site and in the welcome letter when you join my mailing
list. I don't offer session and
product just for the fun of it.
This is part of my lively hood.
Doctors, dentists, and auto mechanics help people
and we happily pay for their service and expertise. We pay them because they make our lives easier and
better. As a tapping practitioner
it is no different. Yes, my goal
is to help people (just like it is a doctors goal to help people), but I need
to do it in such a way so that I can make a living at it. If I am unable to make a living then I
will move on to work where I can make a living. At that point I would be helping no one with my tapping
experience.
Yes, I do provide the free resources on my site as a
way of demonstrating my expertise.
My hope is that when my listeners and readers come to an issue that is
too big for them to manage on their own that that would consider hiring my to
help them to archive the health and success they want.
The majority of the people who visit my site (over
98%) never buy a product or a session from me. They simple take the resources that are useful and add them
to their wellness toolbox. I am
very happy they are able to get something from the site.
3) Turn the dial to the right
One of my favorite radio personalities always says,
"If you don't like our show, then just turn the dial to the right." I have come to realize that I can't be
all things to all people. I do the
best that I can with the site.
I know the site isn't perfect, but it is a labor of love and something I
enjoy doing a great deal. Almost
all of the resources on the site are offer free of charge. If the site isn't serving you then you
don't have to come back.
There are lots of and of really wonderful tapping
sites on line (many of which I have learned a great deal from). I hope you find a place that you feel
like your needs are being met.
Thanks for taking the time to write me.
Gene
