Dear ,
This week one of my audios was featured in the EFT Insight
Newsletter. If you missed it you
can get the self esteem boost tap along audio here
For those you who are new I would encourage you to join our facebook page and you
should check out the podcast archive and subscribe
through iTunes. Lots of great no cost resources can be
found @ both of those locations.
1) Three new resources on the site this week. First, I have an interview with Jessica
Ortner. Many of you will know
Jessica from the Tapping Insiders Club and The Tapping Solution, but this time
instead of doing the interview she is interviewed. She has some great insight on doing interviews, being
interviews, and (most importantly) she share what she has learned from
interviewing so many great people.
Second, there a great article on surrogate tapping from EFT
Master Gwyneth Moss. Finally, there is a resource for figuring out how to
describe your emotions making it easier to tap successfully. (links to all three below)
2) I have started a new project where I am going to be tapping
everyday in a very specific way for the next year. The process is not the same tapping everyday, but 364 days
of unique reflection questions, tapping scripts, and an insight recording
process. I posted a short video
about the beginning of the process and what I hope to accomplish.
3) Stuck on an issues?

"Instructions for living a life. / Pay attention. / Be
astonished. / Tell about it." -Poet Mary Oliver
That advice is something that's been difficult for me. I've
spent almost 30 years trying to avoid paying attention through emotional
eating. I've read the books. I've analyzed things in my head. I've
intellectually understood some of the causes... but even when using "do it
myself" tapping, my mental analysis got in the way of really connecting
emotionally to past events and feelings. My session with Gene took my
analytical mind out of the way as he was the one leading the session-so I could
get into emotions, the very emotions I have been trying to avoid for years. I
found out that having high expectations of myself right now can change my
behavior right now-but that having high expectations of a past self that were
not met, only brought a sense of disappointment and low self esteem. I feel
freer after my session with Gene. And last night, I ate some chocolate after
dinner-and then I stopped. I did not continue searching for other things to eat
when I wasn't physically hungry. A little sweetness was enough, because that
restless feeling wasn't there, that restless emptiness that food isn't really
the right filling for. Thank you, Gene. I am actually astonished at how
different I feel after one session, and I plan to have more. Sue

Interviewing,
Being Interviewed and Lessons Learned w/ Jessica Ortner (Pod #44)
Over the past few years I have been lucky to get to know
Jessica Ortner through a number of different projects. She has just a wonderful
spirit and joy. I asked her if she would be willing to be interviewed for the
podcast and she was a little bit hesitant. She is very good at doing
interviews, but being interviewed isn't something she is use to.
Over the course of the conversation we talk about how to do
a do interview and how to do a good job when being interviewed. We also spend a
good deal of time talking about some of the lessons she has learned from all
the great people she has gotten the chance to interview. That was my favorite
part of the interview because she shares some great wisdom.

Thoughts on Surrogate Tapping By Gwyneth Moss
I keep getting more and more questions about surrogate
tapping. This is the first of two resources featuring Gwyneth talking about the
how and why of surrogate tapping.

Coming Up
With A More Accurate Description of How You Feel: Part 2 Positive Emotions
We know the more specific we are when describing the issue
the faster we are going to find relief. Sometime we think we are being specific
when we really aren't as specific as we can be.
Most of the time when I am working with a client and I ask
them how they are feeling at any give point in the session I am given a
one-word answer. "Angry." "Sad." "Confused." I normally will ask a follow up
question along the lines of "[insert emotion] how?"
