Dear ,
Things are really cranking along in the new year. This week we have 5 new resources on the site. In addition to that, this week I recorded the next 6 weeks of TapAlong Audios (12 total) and I am working on the interviews for the March, April, and May podcasts. Make sure you let me know if there is a topic that needs to be covered in the coming months.
I am going to be doing another advanced techniques live training. It is going to be in August or September. Please let me know if you are interested and you will be the first to get details.
1) New Articles
Two new articles this month. First, I share 10 lessons that can be learned from working with fear/anxiety. This is taken directly from the work I have been doing with a client recently. You will learn a lot. Second, I have a great article from Janet Hilts on "strategic self kindness." We all need to be (well, I know I need to be) easier with ourselves in the healing process. Janet offers some great steps to help you do that. (Links below)
2) New Audios
Three new audios on the site this week. Two of these are TapAlong Audios. The first is about seeing ourselves for who we are and what we can be. It is one of my favorite TapAlongs ever (and I didn't write it!). The second TapAlong is about being able to offer forgiveness, not so we can free someone else, but so we can free ourselves. Finally, there is a member's only podcast where you hear me teaching a client how to get past resistance to doing the things she wants to do, but can't quite get herself to do it. (Links below)
3) Looking For Help?
Lately I have been working with lots of people who have been doing EFT/tapping for a long time, but just can't seem to get over the hump.
"I am so grateful to have had a phone session with Gene yesterday. He helped me with a parenting issue I have had for a long time. I am a single mum with two young children (one has ASD) and I have had problems controlling my anger and remaining calm. He was so intuitive, and I really felt that I was in good hands. I felt noticeably "lighter" during and after our session, and today I reacted calmly in situations that would normally upset and stress me. I'm looking at my children differently - I feel that I am different. Even my sister mentioned that she was impressed at how I was handling the children today. I have been using EFT on my own for a couple of years with varying and often frustrating results. I feel like I learned so much from this session with Gene - it has been invaluable. HM, Australia
Let me know if you want some help.

4) Do you have a question about tapping, a guest you would like to see interviewed on a podcast, or something you would like me to surrogately tap for? Let me know!
Blessings,
Gene

How Progress Happens - 10 Lessons Learned From Working With The Feeling of Anxiety All Day At Work
Recently I was working with "Kelly." We had been working every week or two for 30 minutes at a time on the issue of anxiety she was feeling at work. When we started working she described the anxiety as being present from the moment she walked in the door until she left. There were moments that she just wanted to run from the room screaming.
In the last eight weeks we have had six 30-minute sessions. We have not completely taken care of the issue, but a lot of progress has been achieved. Here are the steps that we have taken and the lessons that can be learned from our process.

Strategic Self Kindness
One of the biggest struggles I face in my own healing is the ability to be easy with myself. I want better for myself. I expect more of myself. I know that I am capable of better. I WANT IT NOW! This makes it very hard to be easy with myself. It is something I tap on almost daily. In this article Janet Hilts presents a wonderful plan on how we can be easy with ourselves.

TapAlong: Looking at things in new ways
Sometimes we want to move forward but can't because we feel like we are taking a step too far. We need to know that it is okay to push the envelope sometimes.

Podcast 1: Removing Resistance
Sometimes moving forward isn't about naming specific blocks. Sometimes it is not about finding limiting beliefs. Many times it is about clearing the resistance out and creating space for inspired action. In this podcast we talk about a number of tools you can use right away to start getting out of your own way and start moving towards progress. I know these tools work because I use them every day.

TapAlong: Forgiving others/You are worthy of forgiveness
Many times when we think about forgiving someone else we think it is about letting them off the hook. When we forgive someone else we feel like we are giving them a gift. In reality when we forgive someone else we are choosing to no longer be caught in the emotion of the past event. We are giving ourselves the gift of freedom from this past moment. This can be hard because sometimes we place some of the blame on ourselves for letting the past happen. Because of this we find it very hard to forgive ourselves because we don't believe we deserve to be free of the past. The truth is we are worthy of offering forgiveness.
