[Tapping/EFT Q & A] - Doing It Like Our Parents (+ Needing to be prefect and being a victim)

Published: Fri, 05/27/11

Dear ,

Greetings from Victoria, BC. My ride in from the airport
proclaimed it "to be the most beautiful place on earth" at least a
dozen during our short drive in. It is a beautiful place and it is
nice to be back.

There are three free resources featured on the site this week.

1) One thing that I am hearing a lot in clients sessions recently
is about beliefs that have been passes along from parents. So of
these beliefs are about the world ("there is a scarcity of money")
while others are about my clients themselves ("you will never be
good enough"). The beliefs we get from our parents run very deep.
They are given to use when we are very young and carry lots of
weight because of the source. Because of these beliefs can be
particularly hard to root out.

2) We all want to do a good job, but sometimes we feel we need to
be prefect. AND if we are not prefect it is going to be a waste of
time and effort. When this happens are need for perfection can
keep us stuck. Here is a simple way to move from that stuck place.

3) It is very easy to get stuck in the question "Why?" Why do I
have it so hard? Why can't I get ahead? Why does it work for
everyone else and not me? When this happens we can get stuck.
This weeks TapAlong audio we tap from moving from being stuck is
what is wrong and moving to what is possible.

* * * * Looking For Help? * * * *

Are you looking for a little help? Have you found an issue that
has you stuck? Would you like to approach an issue with fresh eyes?
Consider working with me one-on-one to get yourself clear.

"I've done a lot of tapping on my own for the past 5 years,
sometimes with really good results, sometimes unable to get to
what's really going on thus no real change. I wanted to work with a
practitioner and see how it might help muddling around but not
really getting to the heart of issues. Working with Gene was really
a great experience! I have a lot of trust issues, but very quickly
felt safe. He is kind and caring, focused, and was incredibly
skillful in helping me sort and QUICKLY move through a current
emotional issue and come out the other side seeing and feeling it
quite differently. And since that session I'm amazed at how much
more truly open and less reactive I've been in a lot of personal
interactions, handling what would have previously felt like
conflict with so much more ease and grace and understanding.
And i loved having the recording of the session available to
listen to and do even more work with ... it's allowed even more
insights and shifts in other areas of my life.
Can't wait to work with him again ... I can't imagine a better
guide to help me safely navigate some murky waters, clean out the
muck, and move into into a place of expanded, exciting
possibilities in my life journey!"
