Good Morning!
Before I get to this week's newsletter I wanted to bring you up to speed on what happened last week.
When I checked my email on Friday morning there was an email from SiteLock. I knew right away it was going to be a long day (or long few days).
SiteLock doesn't send me emails to see how I am doing or to share its new favorite cookie recipe. I only receive emails from SiteLock when something has gone wrong on my website and this instance was no exception.
The good news was the guys at Fivable (http://fivable.com) sprung into action and saved the day. The bad news was the site was down for about 48 hours and lots of people missed the two resources I shared last week. Here they are in case you were one of them:
Now that the technical issues are a thing of the past we can move forward...
When I was a teenager I wasn't very cool. I was on the math team, I wrote computer code in my spare time, and loved shows like Doctor Who. I wasn't a complete loner, but I knew my place in the world.
I was recently thinking about what advice I would give the teenage me if I could go back in time. Obviously, I would want to share tapping with the younger me, but I tried to figure out what would be the first issue I would want to address.
Here are the results of that thinking: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=8255
I would love to hear about which issues you would like to tap on with the teenage you. Add your thoughts in the comments section of the article.
As always, if you have a question or comment for me, just reply to this email.

PS: I have small personal project happening where I am trying to bring more beauty to an often ugly world. You can read about my "100 Tweets Of Beauty" here: http://www.monterastelli.com/blog/2012/09/100tweetsofbeauty/ |

What EFT Has Taught Me That I Wish I Knew When I Was 13 (Tapping For Self-Respect) - I wasn't the coolest of kids when I was in middle school. I didn't think my life was horrible. I didn't think I was a total loser. I wasn't a complete loner. But I knew my place. It was fine for me to be my quirky, funny self around my fellow nerds (back when being a nerd wasn't cool like it is today), but when I was around anyone of a "higher" social status I kept my head down. If I could climb into a time machine and tell that 13 year old one thing...this is what it would be.
How To Get The Most Out Of Self-Directed Self-Help w/ Maggie Adkins - I bet you are like me. Somewhere in your home or office there is a large pile of self-help books, cds, and dvds. In addition to this physical pile of resources there is a folder on your hard drive full of ebooks, pdfs, audios and interviews, also filled with amazing information...and you have never looked at over 90% of these resources. But there is a way to get more out of all these great resources. In this conversation with EFT Master Maggie Adkins we talk about how to do just that.
Why I Hate Emotional Freedom Techniques - I have a confession to make. I hate Emotional Freedom Techniques. OK, I don't hate the tool, but I hate the name and have done so since the first time I heard it. And when I am using the word hate, I am not joking. It makes my skin crawl. In the beginning I hated it because I thought the name did the technique such a disservice. Now I hate it because I don't think it is describing what is happening. |
