TappingQandA

Good morning!

This week's newsletter has two parts. I want to share something I learned and something I felt in the last few weeks.

What I Learned
Last week I had the opportunity to interview Dawson Church about some interesting findings from the most recent study on using EFT for PTSD. The conversation wasn't about EFT for PTSD. The success of EFT with PTSD is well-known.

Instead we discussed what they learned about how effective EFT is in terms of who is leading the tapping session (coach v. mental health professional), and how the session is conducted (in person v. on the phone).

Personally, I believed lots of the conventional wisdom, and that conventional wisdom is wrong. There are some really interesting findings in the data.

What I Felt
I love my editor. She is a total rockstar!

She cares about this newsletter and all my websites. She knows that if something is misspelled or unclear it is possible that you won't take my work seriously because it looks unprofessional and you will move on.

She never corrects anything; she makes recommendations because she knows this is my work and I have to be happy with it.

I almost always agree with her, except those few times when I don't, and this week's article is a perfect example of that.

I titled the article "My Holiday Embarrassment". She recommended "My Holiday Realization" because she felt it was a great lesson, but nothing that I need to be embarrassed about.

In the moment I am not sure if it mattered what I should have felt. I know I felt really embarrassed. I was embarrassed by the lesson I was learning and the fact that it was something I already knew.

Since the realization I have tapped on my embarrassment and I have also changed my morning tapping based on it.

Please read about my holiday embarrassment: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=8673

I would love to hear your thoughts on either of these lessons in the comment sections. You can also just hit reply to this message if you have a question, comment, or suggestion on how we could make TappingQandA.com better.

Much love,

Gene

PS: In case you missed the announcement on Monday I want you to check out the new website I created. It is your chance to tap with me for a full year. Details can be found at MyEFTYear.com

My Holiday Embarrassment - I was reminded of a powerful lesson about how we can (and maybe should) be using EFT this holiday season. Here is my story.

Best Practices To Get The Most Out Of EFT w/ Dawson Church, PhD - EFT is a very powerful tool for bringing about change. As time passes not only are studies being done to explore what EFT is effective for, but the data from these studies is also being used to uncover the best ways to use EFT. In this interview Dawson Church and I discuss what these studies tell us about how to get the most out of EFT.
