TappingQandA

Good morning!

I love goals and goal lists. Using goals has been one of the main reasons I have achieved success in the last 5 years. The amount of information in the world on goal setting could fill a library. I just did a quick Google search on goal setting and it returned 96 million results.

Most of the information available on goal setting is about writing a goal list. There are tools to figure out what you really want, exercises to craft the goals, and ways of creating accountability structures to make sure you stay on track.

But what happens when we create a "perfect" goal list and then get caught up in daily life, and our goal list falls by the wayside?

In the last six weeks, that is exactly what happened to me. I had a great goal list and then the business of life took over and I stopped making progress.

I don't know if you have ever experienced this, but it has happened to me more than once!

In this situation there are two common outcomes. First, we can beat ourselves up for missing opportunities and second, we can stop trusting our ability to make good choices. This week I have two resources for you to help you to respond constructively and get back on track.

First, I have a short video of me tapping for my frustration for wasting opportunities when I lost my way. This isn't a tapping script I recorded after I figured this out. You can see me in real time working through my own frustration (and eventually sadness).

You can watch (and if you like) and tap along here: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=8960

Second I have a conversation with EFT Master Andy Bryce about how we end up in a place where we don't trust our own choices, and how we can use EFT to get out of this state.

Listen to the conversation here: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=8964

I hope you find these tools helpful. They have made a noticeable difference in my life.

As always, please let me know what I can do to be helpful to you.

PS: One of my readers asked me to send a copy of Comprehensive Anger Management to a loved one who was incarcerated. Happily the book is on its way. If you know someone who is incarcerated and could use a copy of the book, let me know. If you don't, but would like to help someone who is, for every copy of the book purchased 5 books will make it into jails and prisons.

EFT For When We Can't Trust Ourselves w/ Andy Bryce - When we make a series of bad choices it is easy for us to shy away from making future choices. We lose trust in our ability to assess what happening around us, we get caught up in the shame of past poor choices, and we are unable to move forward. In this conversation we talk about how we can move from distrusting ourselves to making confident choices.

Video: How To Use EFT After You Have Failed To Reach Your Goals (w/ Tap-Along) Much of my personal success over the last decade has been in direct proportion to how well I was using my goal list. But there are times when, even with the best goal setting tools in the world, we can lose our momentum. This is exactly what happened to me in February and March. As my British friends would say, I completely lost the plot. I made almost no progress towards my goals. Here is how I responded.
