Good morning!
My life has been a little crazy over the last week. I have decided that I am moving to Brooklyn, NY. It has been in the back of my mind for the last few months, but now it is finally happening.
I have let my current landlords know I am leaving and my next step is to find a place to live in a city hundreds of miles away.
I know lots of people have made this sort of move before and it will all work out. Even with that being said I am still hit with moments of worry about the logistics and uncertainty ahead.
I have relearned in the process that in order to make this move successfully I don't have to tap away my anxiety forever or completely.
I only need to tap it away long enough to allow me to take the next action.
I see this as a common mistake made by lots of tappers. They think they have to tap an issue away completely before taking action.
So this week I am sharing the way I approach tapping for the worry standing in the way of taking the action I need.
This is one of the most important lessons I have learned about the healing process.

This week I also have a great interview with Sue Beer about EFT and smoking. One of the things we as humans don't do well is to use information about our long term health to inform our short term choices.
One more cigarette won't kill us. And that is true, but the problem is the damage caused by years of smoking.
In this interview Sue shows us how to use EFT to break the cycle and to help you to stop smoking.

As always, just hit reply to this note if there is something I can do for you.

PS: I am going to be at the EFT gathering outside of NYC this weekend. If you are there, please introduce yourself. I always love meeting readers and listeners.

Podcast #111: EFT for Smoking w/ Sue Beer - On some level most people who smoke really want to quit. Even though the will to change is strong in the larger context of their lives, it is really hard to motivate change in the moment because "one cigarette won't kill me." Usually smoking isn't the core problem, but symptomatic of a larger issue. In this interview Sue Beer and I talk about how we can use EFT to stop smoking.
You Don't Have To Tap Away Your Fear With EFT In Order To Take Action - Often we feel we need to tap until we clear an issue completely. In reality we only need to clear the issue to the point where we can move forward. In this article we talk about how to know if we have tapped enough. |
