TappingQandA

Good morning!

Over the last few weeks I have spent a lot of time tapping with clients around the idea of needing to be perfect. And not only where they have felt like they needed to be perfect, but where they feel that they need to be perfect at everything!

You can see how this is a recipe for failure. (Right? You can see that?)

If we think we have to be perfect we will never start because we aren't perfect. (At least I'm not perfect.)

Struggling with needing to be perfect? Here is a great place to start: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=2156

After the realization that we have made a mistake by trying to be perfect (or any type of mistake), shame often quickly follows.

For me, shame is the most debilitating emotion.

I think, "I know better! I knew better! I am so stupid! Stupid! Stupid!" (Yes, that is really what it sounds like in my head sometimes.)

Here is a great conversation on shame and how to tap for it: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=9074

Finally, as we work through our shame we find ourselves in need of some unconditional love for ourselves (and others).

Here is a short tap-along audio that will do all the work for you. Just hit play and let your fingers do the work: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=3482

I hope you enjoyed that little healing journey!

As always, let me know what I can do for you.

Gene

PS: Thank you for all the positive feedback I received from last week's note on why TappingQ&A exists. I am glad we are on the same page. This understanding is the foundation for some exciting changes coming up in the next few months. If you missed that note you can find it here: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=9065

Knowing Good Enough Is Good Enough OR The Myth Of Excellence - I find the concept of "just perfect" very interesting. What does just perfect mean? Often we believe that just perfect means that is has to be top of the line. It means that it needs to be in the top one percent. It needs to be better than everyone else. But is that really the case?
