Good Afternoon!
Yesterday I had an amazing client call with "Linda". As soon as our session started she said, "Guess what?!?" I could hear her voice brimming with excitement.
"I am no longer a doormat!"
She then proceeded to tell me a number of stories from the last week where she had stood up for herself, where she had stated her needs, and most importantly where she had said no to others.
It was like I was talking to a completely different person than the woman who had come to me just a few months ago.
The most remarkable part of this transformation is that it didn't require clearing out past traumas or having to go through every part of a painful childhood. We simply tapped regularly around issues of Linda standing up for herself, knowing she was worthy of being heard, and knowing that she is allowed to have what she wants.
There is a very simple lesson in Linda's story: tapping only works if you do it.
The main reason most people don't tap regularly as they need and want to is because they get hung up on what to tap on and what to say. Here are two resources to help you.
First, I have a tapping script that is perfect for when you don't know where or how to start. Also make sure you check out the video that shows the power of doing a little every day.
You can find the script here: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=9218
Second, last week I shared an interview with Steve Wells on SET. One of the reasons I love the SET approach to tapping is because it offers so many great entry points for those times when you don't know what to tap on.
If you didn't listen to the podcast you can hear it here: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=9207
18 months ago I made a dramatic change in my life. The big catalyst for that was my willingness to tap for 5 minutes every single day.
Not only can you do this, you are worthy of it.
As always, let me know what I can do to be helpful.
