Good morning,
For those of us who are familiar with tapping, the fact that tapping works for us is enough to keep us doing it.
BUT when we are introducing tapping to others, that is not sufficient.
Let's be honest, tapping is weird, so it makes sense that the uninitiated would be skeptical.
If we want to share the amazing gift of tapping with others, it is important that we are also able to explain how it works and what underlies the modality.
As Dr. David Feinstein describes it:
When acupoint tapping protocols were, in the 1980s, first formulated with a focus on psychological change, they were met with skepticism – even mockery – by the clinical community. But a lot has changed since then. Today, hundreds of clinical trials, peer-reviewed papers, and anecdotal reports show the positive – often rapid – transformational effects of energy psychology and tapping. Hidden within this growing literature are 6
fundamental evidence-based premises that demonstrate why tapping works and how it can be used as a remarkably powerful and effective technique in treating a myriad of challenging psychological and physiological issues.
Knowing these six fundamental premises will make it so much easier for you to share tapping in a convincing and useful way with others.
David has done an amazing job of putting these six premises into clear, understandable language, so you don't have to go rooting through all the literature and research to find them.
