Good morning,
Through my late 20s and early 30s my life was confined and defined by severe social anxiety. AND like most fears, my anxiety festered and intensified as time passed.
By the time I turned 33, if it wasn't a professional obligation or a gathering with my immediate family, I didn't participate. My world was shrinking with every passing day.
Then I was introduced to tapping.
Six weeks later, my social anxiety was under control.
If I had been telling this story a year ago, I would have said that my social anxiety was GONE.
The truth is, it was mostly gone and my life was SO much better. It was as if with every round of tapping I did, the world felt like a safer place.
The Hidden Story
Then in early 2021 I had some major emotional challenges to deal with over a period of some weeks. In the process of working my way through those difficulties, I found my way to a memory from my third year of college.
In my last two years of university I was a Resident Assistant (RA), which meant I was in charge of one floor of our hall of residence. I ran events for the students, was the first point of contact for any first years who were struggling, and I
helped to enforce the communal rules.
All the RAs arrived on campus two weeks before semester started to prepare for the school year. One free afternoon I was hanging out with two other RAs, Eric and Grant.
Eric and Grant were ex-military and had returned to school after their service (both were discharged early for medical reasons) to complete undergraduate degrees. We hung out for around 90 minutes and in that time I didn't say a single word. Not
one!
If you know me at all, that sounds shocking. My particular version of social anxiety made it hard for me to show up, but I was fine once I was there. The fact that I didn't talk for that long might well be a personal record.
In unearthing this memory, I realized at that moment I had felt like I was someone's kid brother, allowed to tag along with the big kids only because of my mom's insistence.
I was in a room with MEN. Strong, confident, experienced, physically imposing men, who were much more worldly than I was.
It wasn't the fear. It was the identity!
As I was looking back at all the work I had done on healing my social anxiety, I realized that there was something I'd missed.
Don't get me wrong, my life was immeasurably better after all the tapping I had done in my early thirties. BUT last year I realized I had unwound
a lot of the fear related to social anxiety, but I hadn't dealt with the way I saw myself.
For true transformation to happen I recognized that we don't just need to change our emotions and beliefs...we either need to change the way we see ourselves, the way we see the world, or both.
For me, this meant I had to stop seeing myself as the unwanted tag-along kid who didn't deserve to be there.
When working with my clients, we often focus on cultivating a feeling of safety in the world, where they can be their true selves and their giftedness is welcomed. Doing that work means a shift in the way they see themselves and/or the
world.
I want you to have the opportunity to change the way you see yourself, the world, or both, so that you can have the life you want.
That is why I created the one-day ID Transformation Retreat that will take place on Saturday, April 23rd.
This is the perfect opportunity for you to release the limiting beliefs and outdated identities that are holding you back. The retreat is designed to help you if you:
-
Are feeling stuck in your work or relationships
-
Keep getting close to success only to backside again
-
Know you have limiting beliefs that are holding you back, but you don't know what they are
-
Wishing you could be out in the world more professionally, personally, or romantically
In other words...this is the perfect opportunity to safely and gently let go of all the limiting beliefs that prevent you from living the rich, full life you would love.
Here's how it will work:
First, over the course of the day on April 23rd, we will work on changing any identities you are carrying that no longer serve you. This will be different from a training event, because this is not training.
This is a retreat.
Instead of learning lots of how-to tools and techniques there will be LOTS of tapping. The retreat will be less about education and much more about creating transformation.
I will be working with volunteers one-on-one, there will be group tapping, and there will be many opportunities for borrowing benefits.
Second, ahead of time you will gain access to training on the tools that we will be using over the course of the retreat. I will explain the tools before we use them, but by giving them to you ahead of
time you will be able just to be present to shifts and transformation on the day of the event.
Third, you will have access to a replay of the full retreat day for seven days after the event, so that you can go back to the recordings again and again. (There will also be an option to purchase the
audio and video downloads to keep forever when checking out, should you wish to do that.)
Finally, I will host a bonus Q&A Zoom session in the evening of Friday, April 29th at 8 PM Eastern US time. I know not everyone can attend the retreat live, either because of other obligations OR they
live in a part of the world where attending live isn't feasible. (Hello to my friends in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.) This Friday evening Q&A (or Saturday morning for those on the other side of the world) will give you the opportunity to get your questions answered once you have had time to watch all the replays.
AND I'm sure we will do some more tapping then too.
This bonus Q&A session is open to everyone, even if you already attended the full day's retreat on April 23rd.

There is limited space!
To make this experience more personal and to allow me to respond to as many questions and comments as possible, I am limiting this event to just 100 places.
This isn't a marketing trick where I claim a limit that isn't really a limit. There really are just 100 places on this retreat, so if you are keen to attend, I encourage you to sign up sooner rather than later.
