Good morning,
When I am working with clients I pay close attention to the words they use when talking about their lives, circumstances, and the issues they are struggling with.
I do this because we typically do not emotionally respond to the world as it is. Instead, our emotional response is informed by how we describe the world.
As a practitioner this means that I am less concerned about what is going on and way more concerned about how my clients are describing what they believe is going on.
One of the words that always gets my attention is the word "need".
On a basic level, when our needs aren't being met we respond out of fear for our health or safety. If we feel threatened by some kind of danger, whether real or perceived, then our subconscious mind will focus only on that, making it hard for us to do anything else.
The difficulty comes when we emotionally see something as a need that isn't really a need.
In this week's podcast I talk about the difference between need, desire, and preference. I then share how we can change our vocabulary to allow for even faster transformation with tapping.
If you are trying to create change in your life for something better, this is essential listening.
