Good morning,
The ID Transformation Retreat that I ran a few weeks ago was such a powerful event.
The full day was dedicated to talking about and tapping on releasing the beliefs we hold about ourselves and the world that no longer serve us, with a follow-up session for all the participants a week later.
When we are clearing deep emotional issues, like we did on the retreat, it is always a good idea to revisit the work a few days later. That's because although a tapping session may feel complete, it does not mean that an issue is completely resolved.
Sometimes there is a physical limit to how much we can clear in any given tapping session. At other times it is possible that tailenders remain that only become apparent after the session.
One of the participants, "Devon", reported in the follow-up Zoom that she was resisting transformation because she felt like she was being selfish as she already "had it so much better than others".
This is an extremely common feeling for people who are interested in healing and transformation. Those who are striving to make themselves better also tend to be compassionate people who see the struggles of others.
But recognizing that we are more fortunate than many others doesn't mean we have to shortchange our own growth or feel selfish when we make time for self-care.
We are all worthy of transformation!
This week I am sharing the tapping I did with Devon. It is a simple tap-along, but I think it is essential because if any part of you feels selfish for pursuing healing and transformation, your subconscious mind will sabotage your attempts to heal and grow.
Even if you don't think this issue is relevant for you, I encourage you to tap along all the same. It is worth five minutes of tapping time to go after an issue that I see all the time with my clients.

I would love to hear about your experiences with feeling selfish.
