Good morning,

If you have been reading my emails for any length of time, I'm guessing you know what a podcast is. And, if you opened this email, you probably have one or more Android devices.

Unlike Apple devices, Android phones come without a pre-installed podcast player. The good news is that very recently it has become much easier to listen to podcasts on Android devices. You will still need to load an app on your phone, but more than likely you already have one of those apps.

Here are a few you can choose from:

  • Spotify – The music streaming service also allows you to listen to podcasts. You don't need to have a paid subscription to Spotify to listen to podcasts.
  • Pandora – The US-only music streaming service also gives you access to podcasts without a paid subscription.

  • Google Podcasts – Google has worked hard in the last two years to create a great podcast listening experience.

  • PocketCast – If you are the type of person who prefers independent apps to the ones made by the big tech companies, this is the one for you.

You can find a full list of all the places you can subscribe to the show in the podcast archives: http://TappingPodcast.com

The value of downloading a podcast app and subscribing to the show is that you don't have to be online to listen AND all new episodes are delivered to your device when they come out.

One other note: Just because you know what a podcast is doesn't mean the people in your life do, too. Only a third of people in the US listen to a podcast regularly, with similar stats in many other countries. That means you have a great opportunity to share the wonderful world of podcasts with your friends and family.

You don't even need to share the Tapping Q & A podcast. There are over one million podcasts out there, something just right for everyone. Take a few minutes to brighten up the day of a loved one and share podcasting with them.

Let me know if you have any podcast listening questions,

Gene
