Good morning,
I don't know about you, but I feel like I should be above what other people think about me. If others choose to ignore me, I should be resilient enough to remain unaffected.
I think, "It's their loss if they choose to ignore me. I need to be comfortable inside my own skin and remain true to my authentic self. If I do this, everything will work out for the best."
Even though I believe that to be true, it is not as easy as making the conscious choice to ignore what others think about us. There is a genetic imperative woven directly into our DNA that makes us concerned about fitting in with our tribe.
But just because we have a basic need to be acknowledged, this doesn't mean we have to be a prisoner of that desire.
This week's podcast explores:
- Why being ignored is so painful
- The stories we tell ourselves on an emotional level when we perceive that we are being ignored and or dismissed
- How we can tap to manage this
I think this is a particularly important issue to tap for when we are at a distance from the important people in our lives and unable to see them in person. In the midst of isolation, it's easy to feel as if we are being ignored.

I hope you are having a great Thursday,
