Good morning,
When assessing events in my own life (both personally and professionally) I evaluate what is going on based on the principle "once is an anomaly, twice is a coincidence, and three times is a pattern."
I think in these terms to avoid giving too much weight to any one experience.
Over the years I have noticed patterns that show up in the lives of my clients. Sometimes it just feels like something is in the air when many of my clients are experiencing the same types of issues.
Over the last month or so I have observed that lots of my clients are
going through major life changes. They are changing jobs, marital status, and where they are living, due in part to the opportunity for reflection and reevaluation we have all had in the past nine months.
Big life changes are hard.
Not only are we changing a major part of our lives, we are also changing the way people see us and think about us. It is not just a change in status but a change of identity.
When this happens a primitive part of the brain starts to work overtime. This is the part of our brain that wants us to be part of a tribe, just like our ancient ancestors whose very survival relied on the safety and cooperation of numbers.
Things are obviously different today. If I change jobs and my family disapproves, it might be uncomfortable, but it doesn’t mean I’ll die. But the primitive part of our brain doesn't realize that.
To that end, this week’s podcast includes a tap-along audio and a tapping script to help you in times of transition. AND this isn't just for those major transitions I referred to above, but all transitions.
Because of what is going on in the world, we are all in a state of transition and this tap-along will be helpful for everyone.
You can tap along here: http://tappingqanda.com/490
Let me know how this works out for you,
Gene
PS: As a reminder, I am raffling off 3 one-on-one sessions with me with all the proceeds going to support small businesses through Kiva. Everyone who enters will receive 3 bonus tap-along audios. Full details here: https://tappingqanda.com/raffle
