Good morning,
Last Friday I was sitting at my desk working away. Most of the time when I am working I am also listening to music.
One of my favorite playlists is music that was featured on WHFS in the early 90s when I was in college. It was the alt rock station in the DC metro area.
The next song that came up in the queue was Soul Asylum's "Runaway Train".
I thought to myself, "I wonder what the lead singer is up to these days?"
As I was typing "Soul Asylum" into the Wikipedia search bar, I caught myself and started to laugh.
I realized that I don't actually care what he is up to. I'm sure he is a fine person. I hope he is happy and successful, but I wasn't going to gain anything from that information.
Instead, I was just distracting myself from my work.
So I did a quick bit of tapping that took less than three minutes. When I returned to the task at hand, I felt even more focused and productive than I had that morning.
In this week's podcast you can learn exactly how to do that quick tapping to help manage your own distraction, without getting frustrated and beating yourself up.

Let me know how it works for you,
