Good afternoon,
Usually about once a year I receive an email from someone who is subscribing to my newsletter decrying the fact that I am charging for services when "you can get all the tapping training you want free from YouTube". Sometimes they even go as far as to call me an "internet huckster".
My personal favorite was when someone claimed I was "using sleight of mind to trick people out of their money".
I'm happy to say that it's been over a year since I have received one of these emails.
Even so, from time to time I think it is good for me to explain what I am doing with these emails and why I am doing it. That way you can make an informed decision about whether or not you want to hear from me in your inbox.
Here are the three main reasons TappingQ&A exists:
Reason #1: To Provide Good, Useful Content
My hope is that every time I add a resource to TappingQ&A, you will find it helpful. That it will help you understand your issues in a new way and help you to grow your tapping skill set. I know that not everything I create will be useful for everyone on my list.
My aim is to listen to you, my readers, so that I am covering the topics that are most useful. If there is a topic that I haven’t yet covered that you would find helpful, just reply to this message and let me know.
Reason #2: I Learn In The Creative Process
Running the website has been an amazing learning experience for me. I have had the chance to interview some of the brightest minds in change work and there have been countless occasions when I have written a post and then thought, “Wow! I didn’t realize I believed that.”
Having to think about what serves you every week helps me to learn more and grow. I am so much healthier and happier because of this website. It means the world to me that you read, listen, and watch what I have created. AND at the exact same time I wonder if I am the one learning the most.
Reason #3: To Grow My Business
Yes, this is in fact a business and my livelihood. The only way I am able to create so much free content for the site is because I also earn money from selling products and services. Most weeks I spend over five hours working on the free content I offer and that wouldn’t be possible if this were just my hobby.
Over the course of the last year I have spent a lot of time trying to find new ways for you to get more out of your tapping practice. You might have noticed that I have updated the way I describe the work of TappingQ&A to be "To help you to move from the basic recipe for tapping to mastering the art of delivery.
You will learn how to find root causes faster, clear issues more quickly, and have longer lasting results with your tapping."
The more time I spend tapping on my own and the more time I spend with clients, I am realizing my favorite part of tapping is helping you to make new choices in your life and to become the person you want to be.
To achieve this kind of change with tapping I believe you need to move beyond the basic recipe, which I still think is amazing for emotional first aid.
That is why I have created the Art of Delivery Monthly live training. That is why I spent months and hundreds of hours creating the Tapping Success
Academy.
The nice thing about the way I have built my business is that its viability depends upon only a small percentage of my readers. In most cases when I offer something for sale fewer than 1% of my readers buy it.
That means the odds are that you have never bought anything from me AND that is perfectly fine.
