Good morning,
If you have been reading these emails for any length of time, then you know how much I love helping people clear resistance and take the action they want.
So much so that when someone asks me what I do for a living, I sum it up by saying "I help small business owners to eliminate self-sabotage".
One of the reasons I love doing this type of work is that helping people to do the task, action, or project that they have been wanting to do is so satisfying. Helping someone move from feeling stuck to accomplishment is thrilling.
With that being said, a funny thing happened to me...
In August of 2019 I came up with an idea for a new project that resonated with every fiber of my body. Because of my workload at that time, I wasn't able to start working on the project right away.
Finally, in December there was room in my schedule to go after it. There were times I was so excited about this project that I was practically levitating!
As the launch date for the project approached, my fear ratcheted up. I started to drag my feet. I pushed the launch date a few weeks...and then a few more weeks...and then a few more.
Then it was March 2020 and (as you know) the world changed. All the uncertainty in the world provided the perfect excuse to stop working on the project.
For the next year it hung around in the background of my head and heart, but I wasn't actively working on it.
Fast forward to March of this year when I was catching up with my friend Kyle. He asked "Whatever happened to [name of project]?"
What I said in response to that question changed everything. (And yes, it did include a few swear words.)
Two months later I am ready to launch and I have already been sharing the pilot of the project with some close friends.
This week in the podcast I share what caused me to stop taking action (short answer: it was three different types of fear), what I said to Kyle that changed everything, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY how you can apply this process to getting out of your own way.
You can hear the story and learn how to clear resistance like I did here: https://tappingqanda.com/510
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the process,
Gene
PS: Even though it's not a tapping project, I will share the secret project with you when it goes live next month.
