Good morning,
As someone who creates products and services, I quickly came to realize there are three types of feedback.
The first is the most common. That is the complaint. When something is going wrong or expectations are not being met, people let you know.
To be honest, as long as people are being thoughtful in their feedback and kind in their wording, I like this type of feedback. It gives me the opportunity to learn a little more about my audience and it is a chance to create better products and services in the future.
The second is solicited positive feedback. This is the type of feedback where I ask my clients for testimonials after working together. I'm always pleasantly surprised when people are willing to do this because it helps me to create social proof to show those who are on the
fence about working directly with me or trying one of my products. These testimonials give potential clients a chance to hear from someone who is not me. (AND it is a nice little ego boost.)
The third type of feedback is the unsolicited positive feedback. This is when someone is so happy with something I provided that they go out of their way to let me know.
Earlier this week I received one of those types of emails. It read:
Good morning, Gene! Just wanted to drop you a quick email to say I AM LOVING YOUR TAPPING SUCCESS ACADEMY! Sorry for the loud voice there, but it is that awesome.
I'm only three weeks in, but here are the things I love:
