There are lots of excellent reasons to be fired from a job.
You might be fired for poor performance, insubordination, constantly being late, or being the wrong person for the job.
About ten years ago one of my clients fired me — as in "I never want to work with you again and I want my money back" — because she heard ice cubes clinking in my glass of water while we were doing a client session, which made her think I wasn't paying attention.
That really happened...but it isn't really why she fired me, even if she didn't know it at the time. It was because of something much bigger.
Over the last 14 years, that moment has happened three more times.
I don't mean I have been fired by clients multiple times for ice clinking. Instead, the real reason behind an upheaval in my business has happened three more times, and most recently just a few months ago.
AND I am excited that it is happening again!
This upheaval is a reflection of powerful changes in my business and my life.
