Good morning,
You might not know this, but the reason I initially found my way to tapping was to deal with my own social anxiety.
I had reached the point where I couldn't answer my phone or ask for help in a store. It was crippling my life. And then I found tapping and, as they say, the rest is history.
Julie Schiffman's experience was just like mine. She found tapping because of her own worry and anxiety.
You might recognize Julie's name. For years she has been featured in the tapping videos for Dr. Mercola's website, with over 4 million video views to date!
In this week's podcast Julie shares how we can use tapping to provide relief for worry and anxiety and much more importantly she shows us how to find the underlying root cause of the worry. When we are able to find the root cause, we can then eliminate the worry in the future.
In the middle of interview Julie shares how we can take care of a childhood part with tapping. What I mean by this is that when we are tapping we often find a part of our experience from a much younger age shows up in the present moment. When we are able to care for our younger self we provide healing that impact us in this moment.
This approach is totally new to me and I think it is amazingly effective, AND it can be used for any issue that we still carry from our childhood, not just anxiety.
Fear, worry, and anxiety are some of our most primitive emotions. Because our ability to recognize danger and feel fear is a big part of why our species has survived, it's the emotion that is mostly likely to take over in the moment.
That is why it is so important that we know how to tap for it.
