Good morning,
I spend a lot of time talking about and tapping about the internal critical voice.
I do it here in these newsletters, I do it on my podcast, and I do it ALL THE TIME with my clients during our sessions.
Why? Because in my opinion the critical voice is the single biggest factor in us not taking the action we want.
Recently I was given a completely new way of thinking about the critical voice. It not only explains why the critical voice is the way it is, but the moment I heard this analogy, I could feel my own critical voice losing some of its impact.
I know that sounds a little hype-y, but it's true.
I was interviewing Jacqui Letran, who is the host of the Stop the Bully Within podcast, and when she shared this idea, I felt the shift instantly.
This image has helped me to lessen the power of my critical voice in the moment, and has also been impactful in my regular daily tapping sessions in transforming the critical voice.
If you have something that has been sitting on your to-do list for days, and you keep shifting it to the next day, then you need to listen to this interview.
Or if you know the feeling of your critical voice beating you down and preventing you from taking action, you need to listen to this interview.

I would love to hear your response to this new way of thinking about the critical voice.
Blessings,
Gene
