Good morning,
If you have been reading my emails for any length of time, you know how much I value goals and goal setting.
Goals help us to:
- Clarify what we want to achieve
- Create manageable action steps
- Set up a framework to evaluate our progress along the way to learn from after the fact
But there is a dark side to goals.
If we are not approaching our goals in the most useful way, instead of helping us to achieve what we want, they do just the opposite.
They get in our way and prevent us from taking the actions we know we want to take.
I know that may sound odd, but I see it all the time with my clients.
