Good morning,
Recently I made a big mistake.
I failed to do something I'd committed to doing.
Although I didn't have the necessary time to live up to the commitment, for some reason I thought I could squeeze it in.
And because of this, I let someone down and made it harder for them to be successful.
AND to be honest I feel crappy about that fact.
I pride myself in living up to my commitments and I see myself as a professional who can manage his time and attention.
To put it bluntly: I failed!
And that failure meant finding myself mired in my least favorite emotion: shame.
Shame is corrosive. It eats us alive from the inside out.
This week's audio is the tapping I did for this exact issue. It's a record of how I am working on moving from shame to regret, plus an explanation of why that transition is so important.
This tap-along is a little different from the usual because I'm not just tapping for an issue, I'm tapping for a live issue I am experiencing at the moment.
You might even hear that in my voice.
If you feel you have let someone else down, this is the tapping you need to do to release your shame and move on to a more productive and instructive emotion.

I hope you have a great day,
Gene
