Currently I am in a situation where a number of people I love and care for are going through difficult times.
And, if I am being honest, "difficult times" times is an understatement.
Some of my loved ones are facing the biggest challenges of their lives.
It is so hard to see my friends struggle, especially when I feel helpless in the face of what they are experiencing because I can't do anything practical to help.
When this happens, I like to do some tapping to send them healing and comforting thoughts.
I am not so naïve as to think that doing a little tapping on my end will transform their lives. Instead, I believe there are two positive outcomes to doing this type of tapping.
First, I am spending a few minutes thinking loving thoughts about a friend in a focused way. Nothing bad can come from that.
Second, after doing this type of tapping, I feel less overwhelmed and helpless in the face of their issues. Calming my own emotions about the situation means I'm able to show up as a better friend in a more present and supportive way.
I know you have someone in your life who is struggling right now. Please take a few minutes to tap for them. (And if you can't think of anyone to tap for, feel free to tap for me!)
