Good morning,
One of the lessons I have learned from working with hundreds of clients is that my main job as a practitioner is to provide an outside perspective with the benefit of experience and expertise.
It is not my healing. It is not my transformation. So even though I am leading the sessions, it's not me who is in charge.
Despite my experience and expertise, I don't fully know what my client is experiencing and what they need, so I rely heavily on my client for this information.
In most of my client sessions I use guided imagery to gain insight into what they need to move forward. When we arrive at a point where we are going to call in other resources to aid transformation, I often give my client a set of suggestions and ask them to name what would be most helpful.
In one of my most memorable calls, my client called on an odd resource.
We were doing some work and the image my client came up with was a waterfall thundering into a cave located right in the middle of her chest. I asked her what resources she needed to help her to calm the raging waters.
She paused for a moment and said, "I need Bruce Willis!"
It is fair to say that, even as an experienced practitioner, I would have never come up with that as a suggestion.
As random as Bruce Willis sounds in this setting, it wasn't random. It was a logical piece of data that came forward after we had created the space for her subconscious mind to state its needs.
This week I want to teach you how best to use imagery and metaphor so that you can get more out of your tapping.
In this episode I share with you:
- How I understand metaphor
- How our subconscious mind uses it
- How we can employ metaphor to create faster transformation
- How to integrate it into tapping
I have also included some of my favorite metaphors to use when doing inner child work.
The concepts are easy to understand and you will be able to implement them right away in your own tapping sessions, either when working with clients or when tapping on your own.

I would love to hear about which metaphors you find most helpful in your tapping sessions.
Blessings,
Gene
