Good morning,

When I am teaching people how to create content (such as emails, blog posts, podcasts, videos and newsletters) I teach them the concept of a peg.

A peg is something on which you can hang your piece of content. A common version of this is when you see an actor interviewed on the 20th anniversary of one of their major film successes. It gives the publication an excuse to interview someone famous, even if they don't have a major project at the moment.

The subject line of this email is another example of a peg. By using the name of a famous person I can grab your attention and then talk about a particular tapping lesson I want to share.

But in this case, this isn't a marketing trick to get you to open my email.

Two weekends ago I attended a podcast gathering called On Air Fest held here in Brooklyn. At the event a number of podcast producers and creators talked about their projects and how they went about creating them.

My favorite presentation was given by Shima Oliaee who was one of the producers of the fabulous podcast Dolly Parton's America. In addition to sharing what she learned about making podcasts from the project, she also shared three lessons she had learned from Dolly Parton.

Lesson #2 is something anyone who taps should pay attention to.

It is clear that Dolly is a woman who feels emotions deeply, but the way she thinks about feeling deeply and how she approaches those intense emotions is amazing.

Listen to this week's podcast to hear what Dolly said, how it can be applied to tapping, and a tap-along audio and script to help you to implement the idea right away.

I would love to hear your thoughts on what Dolly has to say about emotions.
